Hard Luck Bar Reviews
I went there recently for the first time to attend the Jakkyboi, Smrtdeath, & Give My Remains To Broadway concert and it was quite lovely. The drinks were well affordable and the atmosphere was nice. My only downside is that they didn't accept credit cards but besides that I will definitely come back here with my friends in the future.
Two floors up, venue staff at the front were chill, quick peek in my fanny pack and that's it. Quick ID check from the States and up we went my gf and me. Came down to see Stabbing. The sound is awesome for a small upstairs bar. The pop and bottled water are 3 bucks. We don't drink so we don't know about the quality or value of the hooch. Friendly ticketing people. Next to a pizza place and two blocks down from McDonald's. You can park at the McDicks since it's a 24 hour joint. They don't let you smoke inside. Comfy bar chairs and good air-conditioning. Stabbing killed it. Good Ole Texas Death Metal!
Hardluck remains one if the great Toronto live music venues. For musicians - excellent on stage sound, great people to work with and a large stage that'll house everything you need to put on a solid show. For the patrons, this is the club you love to go to. Intimate and real, no gloss or BS. You want to see a band up close and personal - this is your jam. The underground starts here and you will engage with it. I love this place!
Great venue, staff were nice, security did a good job getting people in quickly(before doors open checking ID, handing out wristbands) Coat check is mandatory for minors and costs 4. Cash only for coat check and bar.
A fantastic little dive bar and venue. Small, lower stage with adequate floor space and seating area with tables. Absolutely loved the atmosphere during the show I saw. Note that they only offer coat checks for All Ages shows.
Clean bar, servers are Awesome ! and staff are very friendly. Had a great time. Will be back when they host the dreadnoughts again.. hint hint.
Great music. Great vibes. Cheap drinks. Had a blast. Can't wait to come back.
Came here for a concert for The Suicide Machines. Staff were really good at the bar and the doors. Had a great night! Just a heads up, the bar is cash only, so to avoid using one of the shady grey ATM machines, bring some cash.
